Our Programs

Our focus is not on problems, it’s on people. We treat children, adolescents, adults and seniors.

Services

Our adolescent inpatient program provides mental and behavioral health crisis stabilization for children and adolescents age 10-17 years old. PIW serves adolescents from across the DMV area and accepts most insurance plans including Medicaid and Tricare. Our Adolescent Treatment Program is highly structured to meet individual needs. We have staff on hand who specifically specialize in various mental health disorders, trauma, and substance abuse treatments for adolescents. We accept adolescents on voluntary and involuntary admissions. Our treatment teams work closely with the families and other support systems to engage youth and plan a safe return to their community.

Our adult program (18+) provides short-term inpatient care. Individuals coping with anxiety, mood disorders, chemical dependency, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar and serious personality disorders can receive stabilization and treatment. We are able to accommodate both voluntary and involuntary admissions.

At PIW our focus is not on problems, it is on people. Entering the hospital is a big and important step towards healing and recovery. PIW offers inpatient services for adults 18 and older experiencing mental health crises and substance abuse issues.

PIW provides an inpatient detoxification program to help rehabilitate individuals from drug and alcohol addiction. Our detox program is medically supervised and addresses a patient’s medical and psychiatric condition.

After completion of detox, PIW Chemical Dependency counselors assist individuals with the continuation of rehabilitation services through inpatient and outpatient programs. Many patients complete detox at PIW and continue to 28-day programs to continue sobriety and increase chances of recovery.
