Provision of nursing care in an acute psychiatric setting for patients ages 5-65+ with a variety of mental health and addictive disorders. Duties include assessment of mental health status, participation in multidisciplinary treatment planning, development of nursing care plan and identification of long and short-term treatment goals.
Requirements:
RN license in Washington DC. AAS or BSN. New graduates welcome.
Provide direct patient care to children, adolescents and adults from the ages of 5-65+ that is congruent with the philosophy and standards of practice defined by the Expressive Therapy Department. Coordinates and implements an Art Therapy service for all patient units. Plans and conducts therapy and occasional individual sessions in accordance with patient’s treatment plan, program structures, department philosophy, and guidelines of Art Therapy practice. Maintains a consistent therapeutic milieu as outlined in hospital policy and procedures and according to program structures.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Art Therapy, or a Master’s in Behavioral Science or Fine Arts with training and education required by the American Art Therapy Association (AATA) to have attained national registration as an Art Therapist. Eligible for (or posses) current registration in Art Therapy. One year of experience as an Art Therapist.
Position requires a highly dedicated individual to provide direct patient care as assigned under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and maintain a safe therapeutic environment
Requirements:
Minimum of one year experience in a related field and an understanding of basic principles of human behavior.
Provide direct patient care to children, adolescents and adults from the ages of 5-65+ that is congruent with the philosophy and standards of practice defined by the Expressive Therapy Department. Coordinates and implements a Recreation Therapy service for all patient units. Plans and conducts therapy and occasional individual sessions in accordance with patient’s treatment plan, program structures, department philosophy, and guidelines of Recreation Therapy practice. Maintains a consistent therapeutic milieu as outlined in hospital policy and procedures and according to program structures.
Requirements:
One Year of experience as a Recreational Therapist. Certified as a Certified Recreation/Therapeutic Specialist by NCTRC. Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy.
Provide direct patient care to children, adolescents and adults from the ages of 5-65+ that is congruent with the philosophy and standards of practice defined by the Social Work Dept. Conducts the psychosocial assessments, case management activities, family interventions, and disposition planning. Promotes and participates in referral development activities. Assists in coordinating admissions, discharges and transfers of all assigned patients. Monitors insurance information and keeps other treatment members informed of updated information; documents discharge planning needs on the psychosocial assessment and treatment plan; supervise social work students as directed and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
A master’s degree in Social Work and DC licensure required. Two (2) years experience in a mental health setting and previous inpatient experience strongly preferred. Must be knowledgeable of principles and practices of social work, knowledge of normal and abnormal human development and its impact upon physical, emotional and behavioral development. Must be able to assess and evaluate social-psychological and medical data to compile and complete assessments, treatment planning and D/C planning. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills in order to assist patients, visitors, employees, etc. in a courteous, professional manner.
