Responsible for delivering and providing for a safe and therapeutic environment and care to patients of all ages.

Requirements: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and minimum of one (1) year related experience


Responsible for delivering nursing care to children and adolescents from the ages of 5-18 years of age and adults age 18-65+ that is congruent with the philosophy and standards of practice defined by the Nursing Department. Provides for the continuity of care of assigned patients and uses the nursing process and a holistic conceptual framework in the development of nursing care plans that address self-care limitations in behavior and interpersonal functioning. Directs and guides activities of paraprofessional staff in the implementation of nursing care plans. Internally, the incumbent will interface with hospital management, staff, and patients. Externally, the incumbent will interface with licensing and accrediting agencies, family members, and healthcare treatment agencies.

Requirements: Graduate from an accredited nursing program. Current license to practice nursing in the District of Colombia; Current CPR certification. Preferred: One year experience working in psychiatric inpatient or residential setting with adolescents or children ages 5-18 and adults ages 18-65+.


Responsible for providing direct patient care to children and adolescents from the ages of 5-18 years of age and adults ages 18 to 65+ that is congruent with the philosophy and standards of practice defined by the Clinical Services Department. Provides supervision for the provision of all nursing care provided hospital-wide and participants for nursing care with available nursing resources in conjunction with Nurse Manager. Internally, the incumbent will interface with hospital management, staff and patients, Externally, the incumbent will interface with licensing and accrediting agencies, family members and healthcare treatment agencies.

Requirements: BSN from an accredited nursing program or currently enrolled in BSN program. Current license to practice nursing in the District of Columbia. Four years experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting with clinical and administrative responsibilities, two of which are in a supervisory position.


Description: Interviews patients to gather information (such as demographics, correct patient identification, and data directly related to the specific blood test requested (e.g., special diet and /or fasting status) in accordance. Reviews the specimen requisition for completeness of information Performs procedures for requesting and /or canceling tests manually or using automated equipment. Prepares receptacles for blood specimens (such as vacutainers and blood bags) and urine collection devices in accordance with laboratory protocol. Draws blood, using simpler techniques (such as finger punctures and venipunctures) and aseptic techniques; labels units and sends specimens to appropriate clinical laboratories for processing. Recognize adverse reactions in patients (such as changes in skin temperature or fainting) and initiates appropriate response.

Requirements: Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. (1) Possession of a current Phlebotomist or phlebotomy Technician certification or (2) Completion of 3 years of full-time work experience performing the duties of a phlebotomy technician in an accredited laboratory within the last five years. This experience must include venipuntures, skin punctures, observation of arterial punctures, and orientation in a full service laboratory. (Full time experience is considered thirty-five hours per week)


Description: Responsible for performing functions required in the daily operation of the Internal Medicine Department. History and physicals, EKG's and hospital consultations for patients from 5-65+. Works closely with the HR dept. in handling/processing workers compensation injuries/incidents and return to work processing for hospital staff. Oversee the phlebotomy functions for the hospital.

Requirements: Minimum Requirements: Five years experience in Internal Medicine with clinical experience in Pediatrics, OB/GYN, and Infectious Disease. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and certified by the District of Columbia.


Description: Cook to prepare, seasons, and cooks food for hospital patients from ages 5-65+, employees, and visitors. Reviews menus to determine type and quantities of meats, vegetables, soups, salads, and deserts to be prepared. Knowledge of safety and infection control standards. Ability to prepare all foods from established guidelines. Ability to maintain food, work area, and equipment in compliance with sanitation standards.

Requirements: Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Must hold or obtain D.C. sanitation certification. Ability to read, write and perform simple arithmetic.
