The Adult Psychiatric Service located on the 5th floor (APS-5) is a 28 bed, short-term stabilization program
for adults ages 18-65+ with a primary psychiatric diagnosis and individuals chosen to participate in
Clinical Trials of investigational medications. Patients are assigned to one of our full-time
psychiatrists and psychiatric social workers. Patients participate in an active program schedule
based on a group model. An individualized plan of care is developed by the multidisciplinary
treatment team, and patients are supported in achieving their short-term and long-term goals.
