The Lambda Center provides mental health and addiction treatment for lesbian, gay, bisexual
and transgender adults. The Lambda Center fosters tolerance, not only for gay, lesbian,
bisexual and transgender people, but also for all races, classes, abilities, ethnicity,
ages, and cultures. Our goal is to demonstrate outstanding clinical competence and reflect
an atmosphere of diversity in a safe and comfortable environment.
Treatment includes group psychotherapy, expressive therapy, recovery focused groups and
educational groups. In addition to the group therapy, patients regularly meet with a
counselor, psychiatrist, and the treatment team. Patients board on one of the two adult
inpatient units in the hospital and attend groups on the Lambda Center Monday through Friday.
Aftercare may be available in the partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient program (see below).
