The School at PIW offers a therapeutic program that attempts to fulfill the psychoeducational
needs of our children and adolescents. The program is year-round (12 months), and is divided
into 37 weeks for the school year and 10 weeks for the summer school. The students attend
school for 3 hours a day, in two different age groups.
Our school year curriculum includes the following subjects: Language Arts, Social Studies, Math,
Pre-Algebra, Science, and Life Skills/Conflict Resolution. This program endeavors to fulfill
the student's psychoeducational needs in order to facilitate a successful transition to their
next educational placement.
The School has the capacity to provide standardized testing as ordered by the physician.
This testing is used to place students, after discharge, in the most appropriate setting to meet
their educational need.
