The Lambda Center provides mental health and addiction treatment to lesbian, gay, bisexual and
transgender adults. The full-day Partial Hospitalization (PHP) or half-day Intensive Outpatient
(IOP) Programs are structured for patients stepping down from an inpatient hospitalization or in
need of more than traditional outpatient care can provide. The Lambda Center fosters tolerance,
not only for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people, but also for all races, classes,
abilities, ethnicity, ages, and cultures. Our goal is to demonstrate outstanding clinical
competence and reflect an atmosphere of diversity in a safe and comfortable environment.
Patients are assigned a counselor who will assist them throughout their treatment and in making
discharge plans. Treatment is group-based, including group psychotherapy, expressive therapy,
recovery-focused groups, educational groups and a weekly psychiatrist's group.
